That they're not guys!
No, seriously-of our 200 students, about 25-30% of them are female. Drums are for EVERYONE-not a specific gender.

Very true! I don't often find girl drummers around. I do remember a few that took lessons with Dick Demers, when i was takin lessons. But they would go to learn Snare Drum, for big band. Though, whenever I do find a girl drummer on stage, it seems to me that they usualy bring out more color and energy to the band. Because alot of us guys are laid back, and sit still or slightly move to the beat. Whenever I see a girl on the drums, she goes "all" out. And it adds to the show. Makes me go "Yeah! Check that out, she's going crazy! This Kicks!". And that adds some extra energy for the crowd to enjoy. It's not only the performance of the musicians to me, it's also adding some energy and excitement for the crowd... I may have already said that(I just finished Tae-bo, and also did the lower half odf the giant hilled driveway I live on. So I am outta whack abit. And excuse missed spelled words, I don't have my glasses on right now). Huh... that was alot... Anyway, Like I said. Girls seem to enjoy themselves while playing drums, with adding some interesting moves and... you got the idea. I am so out of it now. Trying to think of what to post in the last sentence just prevented more blood to enter my brain.
