I am pretty sure from previous playing, that I prefer mesh pads instead of rubber for an e-kit. That being said, it seems like the yamaha dtx extreme II has more capability and inputs than the roland tds-20.
All else being equal, were I to get a set of hart or pintech mesh dual zone pads, which brain would be superior between the yamaha and roland?
And which kit would be a better acoustic replacement?
The yamaha has amazing bang for the buck, at just about 45% the price of the tds-20. I surmise, that with careful shopping, the mesh pads and the chosen "brain" would result in a kit that would undercut the price of the td-20s, but retain the capabilties.
