I am looking to buy a set

I have a budget of about $3500 for a set (shells only). The last set I owned was a set of DW Collector Series in Ebony Satin Oil Finish. The sizes were : Bass 18x22 (no tom mounts) ; Toms 10x8 ; 12x9 ; 14x11 ; 16x13. I am looking for something similar sounding to this set. I am open to all brands. It doesn't have to be a DW set, but I would like to get something that is similar to those sizes and would like to have all the drums with a mounting system as I plan on putting them on a gibraltar rack system. I don't want any of the floor toms to have legs and would like a virgin bass drum.

I went to read up on the Yamaha Absolute Birch Nouveau set at the Yamaha website and they caught my attention. I plan on playing the set in a rock band so I would like the set to have a good deep tone with attack. I have never had so many compliments from the sound of my other DW set and would like to get something that could rival what I had in that kit. Any opinions???

I would suggest coming in and picking out the sound that suits you best.

Thanks for the response Shane. It would be kind of hard for me to come in as I live in Louisiana. I came across your site while I was searching for information on different drum kits. Anyhow, any info that you could offer would be appreciated.
