Don't know if this is the right place for question asking, but here goes anyway.
I am a self-taught new drummer. I have had previous music experience(I took piano lessons for a few years as a child), so I understand alot about reading music, note values and so on.
About a year ago I purchased a Ludwig drum set, and have made alot of progress since. I fear I may be developing bad habits along the way though. One issue I have; is that I don't feel physically comfortable at the set--like I have to aim for the toms? My seat height may be the issue--I don't know.
Im very interested in taking lessons, but haven't had much luck in the central Maine area. I'm willing to travel 20-30 miles if necessary.
Would appreciate any tips, suggestions, and advice anyone may have. Please let me know if this is the right place to post questions.
I would be all over taking lessons from you guys, but I live 100 miles away. I took your suggestion on Dick Demers, as I am currently working in the Auburn area for 6 months. Will be down to see your shop soon though.
