|
|
Hi guys and gals! New member here. I've been playing on and off for over 30 years on and off due to committments to Uncle Sam. I currently own a set of Sonor Force 3001 series in Honey maple. Any other Sonor drummers here? I played Tama, Ludwig, and my first no-name kit which was actually made by Pearl back in the late sixities early seventies and sold by a mail order company out of Chicago name Alden's.
Mackabee
P.S. how do you post a pic to the site? I'd love to show off my current kit!
No matter where you go, you are there! |

Mackabee,
Welcome! I think you may find a Sonor drummer in here-my co worker Luc just got a Delite kit and loves it!
If you click on IMG- it allows you to post a pic. I'd love to see it![/img] |

I'm not a Sonor player, have never owned a kit of them -- but I'm thinking about it.
Hey -- this gives me an idea for a new topic! Go check it out... |

I've got a set of cherry S-Class Pro (20/8/10/12/14/16). I got my first Sonor kit in 1975; white marine pearl. I'll never own anything else. Designers are next on my list.

Shane -- wanted you to know, you were right about being able to find the deal I wanted. Remember about the gold lacquer Genista snare I mentioned not being able to get back for $200? You said I'd find one for $150, but I did BETTER than that!
I've got a whole 5pc kit coming, Premier Genista in the SAME gold lacquer! 22/10/12/14/5.5x14 -- $550.
An amazing and odd coincidence, but a cool one. I guess I won't be doing the Sonor thing, but I really appreciate the help and I'll be calling again for other things.

Yea, I play Sonor. I currently have a 6 piece Sonorlite in Scandinavian Birch with a Signature 6 1/2 x14 Ferro Mangenese Snare.

I also have a New Designer on order with the Great Guys from The Drum Shop. It will also have 6 pieces in the Walnut Roots Finish. [/img] |

I'm a Sonor player; if you look at the featured kit on the main page here you will see Bill Wharton's kit.
I have a Designer kit on order in identical sizes, but with the Blue Roots finish, and the VMS shells. I also scored an orphan tom in Blue Roots off ebay that will bump it up to a 1980s-like (big rack of toms) 8-piece kit.
I also have a 10 x 6 Designer side snare in Walnut Roots that will ride to the left of my new kit, if the Germans ever get it into gear and deliver it.
I just can't say enough good things about Sonor. |
